Typically I'm a pretty standard nitty (12/8) FR 2NL-5NL player. I don't really like playing this tight, but it is very successful way to grind up a bankroll for the higher levels. So I've worked up my bankroll and I've started playing NL10. From everything I've read, there isn't too much difference between NL5 and NL10, but nonetheless I decided to run an experiment and play significantly more aggressively when I officially made the move up. I dropped down from 24 tables to 16, and really focused on playing a very TAG style of play, utilizing HEM to take advantage of individual players tendencies as apposed to nit mass tabling and playing by set standards. My goal was somewhere around 16/13 to upwards of 20/17....
Long story short, I ended up running even looser than I expected and it's been an in insanely successful experiment....check dis shit out!!!

Out of the loop
So I started this blog to keep myself honest and share some of the craziness that happens as I played poker online. So I have failed.....We're gonna give it another go with a full update soon......Hopefully tomorrow.
Short story. Kept winning NL2, I took a shot at NL5, lost some money, came back down to NL2, won a bunch o'cash, cashed out, continued to play, won some more, cashed out again, and am now sitting with a $200 bankroll with the goal of giving NL5 another shot in August.
Long story coming soon!

Coffeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Rule #1: When getting up in the morning to play poker, make sure you get some coffee in your veins before starting. I lost several large pots yesterday morning because I didn't drink my coffee before playing. Overall though I still managed to rebound near the end of the morning session to bring in almost a full buy in in profit.
All in all, since the last post about being hot, I haven't cooled off at all. This month in 15 sessions, I have only had 2 losing ones, and those two combined only account for half a buyin total. If I can keep running at like I am at roughly 15bb/100 for the rest of the month, I'll be ready to move up to NL5 in no time.
Hopefully, I can purchase the full version of HEM on the 15th so that I'll be able to post hands for analysis/graphs/etc. so that if there are actually readers out there, we'll be able to discuss strategy.
Anyway, not much more going on....Until next time.

I don't want to work, I just want to bang on the drum all day.....
No Poker today.....I was a sleepy mess this morning and had no coffee in the machine, so I dozed out on the couch while watching some show about Pablo Escobar on the History Channel. What a power hungry crazy man that guy was. It reminded me of the documentary "Cocaine Cowboys"....and it probably should because the movie was essentially about the Miami arm of the Medellin cartel. Everyone at work pooled their money together to get pizza for lunch, so I didn't want to be an uber dick and take my pizza back to my desk and not hang out.
But anyway.....I'm sure I'll log about 3-4 thousand hands this weekend and have an update on Monday. I did notice that this week I played the highest volume week that I've ever played. Almost 15,000 hands....which I feel is very easily attainable every week. I'm running about 1600 hands per hour at the 9 max fast tables, which means I should be able to hit 16,000 hands a week consistently. Now that I have a scheduled hour in the morning before work and an hour during lunch, I can really focus on leaks and improve my BB/100 even more than what I've done this week. I went from roughly 7/100 to 10.5/100 this week by just having a consistent schedule.
I'd like to have a bankroll of 50 full buyins of the next level, which means $500 before I go to NL5. Due to some withdrawals, I'm sitting at roughly 22 buyins right now, so I still have some significant time hangin' with all the NL2 homies left to do! I have an additional cashout of a hundo coming soon that I promised to my lady for an all you can eat crab leg dinner.....so it'll probably be at least 2 months before I even take a shot at NL5.
Until tomorrow....its back to work.

Hotter than Megan Fox sucking on a Lollipop.
So I've failed to post on the first day of my progress....I have failed miserably already on my first day!
I have to admit, I've had a fant frickin tastic last 2 weeks. I've made over a $120 and I'm extremely happy. My BB/100 has gone up an entire point over all and a point and a half in NL2 Full Ring. Lets hope I can keep it up.
I really wanted to post about my day yesterday with a few examples of hands, but my trial version of HEM has expired, and I need to officially buy it now....*cue price is right fail music*
My little piece of advice to you grinders out there that I learned from yesterday.....Don't get monkey tilted over river rat bad beats. Yesterday morning and during lunch I had at least 7 hands go to the river only to have the guy calling me the whole way hit his 3 outer to win a big pot. For some reason I was having some sort of Zen moment because I didn't get pissed at all, and that focus lead me to finish UP a few bucks during both sessions.
In addition, the wife went out with the girls last night and I won 4 buyins while watching the Hawks whoop up on the Canucks.
Oh yeh....Shout out to my first follower. Some dude named D19**** (don't wanna give out his Stars name) yesterday during lunch said he follows my blog....Freaked me out because I just started this thing 2 days ago! But whatever. What up homie!?

The gambler's face cracks into a grin as he lays down the king of spades.
Welcome to the first post of my online poker tracking blog. I'm gonna try to update this daily.
I've been playing online for about 7 years. I started on Party Poker and Pokerstars back in College and have made between 5 and 6 thousand dollars of play around cash since. I've made most of my money playing sit and goes, but recently, I got a bit obsessed with multi-tabling cash games. I think this is due to reading about the $100,000 plus in Pokerstars incentive that people make by being a break even or even a losing player at NL100 and NL200. I currently play 2 hours a day during the week, an hour before work and an hour during my lunch. I started with $20 back in October and got started on the grinding. Having experience playing 6-8 tables during sit and goes, it seemed to be the natural start for me. Since then, I've discovered Table Ninja and HEM, and 24 tables later.....you fill in the blank.
Enjoy all of the crazy escapades....and thanks for any advice/comments in the meantime.
